An important function of the MSHP is to investigate car, truck, and motorcycle accidents that happen on roadways within the MSHP’s jurisdiction. In many Horn Law accident cases, the highway patrol report serves as part of the initial investigation. The MSHP also maintains a data base of crash reports that can be found at the Crash Report page.
The MSHP also maintains extensive annual statistics. Based on current trends, highway fatalities are down 30% in 2010.
