Concussion Evaluation

When we are first alerted to new concussion cases, one of our first priorities is to pinpoint the types of symptoms the client is dealing with. This can include dizziness, loss of concentration, periods of disorientation, and a host of other problems.

We do this early on because we want to make sure that the client is reporting all of their symptoms to their doctor. This helps to not only confirm the medical evidence but also the results in a more comprehensive patient evaluation.

Concussion Care

Compared to 5 years ago, my clients who have been diagnosed with a concussion are making better, faster medical recoveries. A lot of this is because the medical community is taking a more serious approach to concussion care.

When my client is under the care of a concussion specialist, I have a lot of confidence that my client will not only be receiving the best possible medical treatment, but they will also receive help on how to manage the concussion outside of the medical clinic.

Legal Recovery

While the medical recovery is always the priority in a concussion case, the legal recovery is also important. This is especially true when the concussion results in a significant loss in quality life and impacts my client’s work, household, personal, and family responsibilities.

These cases require a maximum legal recovery- which means the settlement compensation must account for all of the past, present, and continuing consequences of the concussion, including the fact a subsequent concussion will likely result in more pronounced symptoms and require more extensive concussion care.
